Carnot has decided to launch their first ever crowdfunding round, with Crowdcube to generate investment and help Carnot build on their amazing achievements so far.
What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a way for business to raise funds by asking a large number of people (the crowd) for relatively small amounts of money in exchange for shares in the company.
Traditionally, if you wanted to finance a business, project or venture you’d have to ask a small number of people for large sums of money. Crowdfunding has turned the tables on this traditional method and allows you to use the internet to engage with millions of potential funders.
There are plenty of crowdfunding platforms available. But they have chosen Crowdcube to launch their campaign. Crowdcube is the worlds-largest equity crowdfunding platform and since Crowdcube was founded in 2011, they have helped raise funds for over 1000 campaigns, with over £800 million having been invested on the platform to date by a crowd of over 860,000 registered Crowdcube investors.
Businesses that have raised with Crowdcube include Monzo, Revolut, BrewDog, Cocoro, Freetrade, Garage Beer, Pip & Nut, Mindful Chef, Mr & Mrs Smith and Grind.
Why crowdfund?
Crowdfunding allows members of the public to be a part of the journey to a carbon-free future. Climate change is a challenge facing us all and requires a group effort from all branches of society. Carnot’s ethos of collaboration and teamwork runs throughout the fabric of the company and lies within their core beliefs.
Pre-registration allows individuals to register their interest in Carnot and it means they can be at the front of the queue when everything launches. Please note, Carnot Crowdfunding round has now been completed. Please get in touch for future funding rounds
