Bio: As well as his responsibilities as CBO Francis leads the mathematical modelling and analysis at Carnot. MSc in Particle Physics from Royal Holloway University of London. Experienced in applied mathematics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and electromagnetic engineering. Wide knowledge in modelli ng structural, gas blow-by and heat transfer concepts in uncooled ceramic engines, delivering two Innovate UK projects.
Archie Watts-Farmer
MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol and Post graduate degree in Offshore Systems Engineering at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Archie spent 10 years as lead engineer/project manager on various Rolls-Royce engine programs including the Joint Strike Fighter LiftFan, the Harrier Pegasus engine, the A350 Trent XWB and also qualifying as a chartered engineer, CEng. Previously Programme Manager / Chief Engineer at the Litus Foundation where he successfully applied for, managed and delivered two grant-funded R&D projects.
